24 June 2015 - The STREAM clinical trial has enrolled its 400th patient, meeting the recruitment target for Stage 1 of the comparison of a shorter 9-month treatment regimen for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) with the World Health Organization-approved treatment regimen.

The participants at the regional consultation in Bangkok discussed the need to evolve and change the way in which we work if we really want to End TB – by introducing new thinking, innovations, approaches and ensuring that all interventions include a patient-centered approach.

The Stop TB Partnership Secretariat is pleased to extend the closing date of this year's Kochon Prize call for nomination until Friday, 24 July.

The Stop TB Partnership has joined with Every Women Every Child, the Review on Antimicrobial Resistance, the UN Permanent Missions of UK, South Africa, Sweden, and others to convene member states at the United Nations in New York to advance action on Antimicrobial Resistance.

The consultation process is open to everyone to share information, ideas and experiences, and, will run from 10 June to 10 August 2015.

6 June 2015 – Pakistan – The Government of Pakistan, along with the Stop TB Partnership, WHO and other technical and donor partners recently concluded a ten-day joint monitoring mission to review Pakistan’s National TB Control Programme.

5 June 2015 – Today concludes a full week of packed sessions that the new CDC Division of Global HIV & TB had as part of their Annual Meeting under the overall umbrella Global HIV & TB: Heightened Impact.

22 May 2015 - Shanghai, China -- Nearly 300 experts in tuberculosis (TB) and TB vaccine development from more than 30 countries around the world gathered in Shanghai in April for the 4th Global Forum on TB Vaccines to discuss the latest efforts and advances in TB vaccine development. The Forum, which was held April 21-24, is convened approximately every other year by the Stop TB Partnership’s Working Group on New Vaccines.

This year, the Kochon Foundation Prize is ensuring that we recognize the great heroes who go above and beyond each day – the countless people (health workers, community workers and volunteers) who have made an enormous impact by saving lives.

26 May 2015 - The 68th World Health Assembly, which gathered Ministers of Health from around the world to make key decisions on global health matters, concluded today in Geneva. The Stop TB Partnership met with Ministers of Health to advance key TB issues, organized side events, and ensured a strong voice for the TB community during the meeting.
