The tools are meant to help build awareness of TB in communities, share information on the latest scientific and policy developments, and inform activism to address barriers to TB diagnosis, treatment, and care.
Treatment Action Group (TAG) is launching new training resources for activists and people affected by TB. These tools can help build awareness of TB in communities, share information on the latest scientific and policy developments, and inform activism to address barriers to TB diagnosis, treatment, and care.
- TB Activist Toolkit: These updated slide decks explain TB basics, diagnosis, and treatment. They provide activists with fundamental information about TB and the latest innovations, evidence, guidance, and strategies to strengthen global advocacy and understanding around diagnosing and treating TB and drug-resistant TB in communities.
- Storyboards: In collaboration with Stop TB Partnership Nigeria, the Nigerian Ministry of Health National TB and Leprosy Control Program (NTBLCP), Community Consortium Penabulu-Stop TB Partnership Indonesia (Community Principle Recipient under the Global Fund, 2021–2023), Pejuang Tangguh (PETA), the Global TB Caucus, and the Global Coalition of TB Activists (GCTA), TAG developed storyboards that depict the experiences of three individuals’ multi-year journeys with TB. Using the power of storytelling, these storyboards break down the complex network of barriers people with TB and drug-resistant TB face in accessing care, and support advocacy to resolve those barriers.
