U.N. High-Level Panel on Access to Medicines releases final report
United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Access to Medicines calls for new deal to close the health innovation and access gap.
The High-Level Panel on Access to Medicines released its final report, Promoting innovation and access to health technologies. The report can be accessed here. The official press release is available here.
The Panel was constituted in November 2015 with the mandate to review and assess proposals and recommend solutions for remedying the policy incoherence between the justifiable rights of inventors, international human rights law, trade rules and public health in the context of health technologies.
