Speakers: Richard Brostrom, Sapna Bamrah Morris

Richard Brostrom is a CDC TB Medical Officer for the Pacific Region, currently serving as Branch Chief of the Hawaii TB Program. More recently, he helped to install and train 7 programs for new GeneXpert platforms across the Pacific, and led a novel regional response to an outbreak of TB at a small college in Micronesia. He worked directly with the Chuuk TB Program over the course of two years to improve TB and MDR TB care, as well as provide MDR TB prevention. He received a National Service Award for work with drug-resistant TB cases in Micronesia in 2010.

Sapna Morris currently works on the Field Medical Officer Team within the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination (DTBE) at CDC. In 2008, Sapna took a full time medical officer position with the Outbreak Investigations Team within the Division of TB Elimination. Sapna completed her residency in internal medicine at Case Western MetroHealth and fellowship in infectious disease at the Cleveland Clinic.
