20th Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential Medicines
The deadline for the submission of public comments on applications to be considered by the 20th Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential medicines has been extended until Wednesday 25 February 2015.
The 20th Expert Committee meeting will take place at WHO Headquarters, Geneva, 20-24 April 2015 in order to revise and update the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines (EML) for both adults and children.
Applications for inclusion, change (addition or modification of an indication) or deletion of a medicine in the next WHO Model List of Essential Medicines 2015 were sent to the WHO Essential Medicines List Secretariat between 15th June and 1st December 2014.
Please note that all applications are posted on the website for public comment and review, and comments can be sent until Wednesday 25 February 2015.
All comments received will be published on the WHO EML website by early March 2015.
To allow referees time to consider any public comments received on applications, referees’ peer review reports will be posted on the website by the end of March 2015.
The TB drugs that are included for consideration are rifapentine, delamanid, bedaquiline, linezolid, and terizidone.
