Tuberculosis in England: annual report

This report presents detailed data on TB case notifications made to the Enhanced Tuberculosis Surveillance system (ETS) by nurses, physicians, microbiologists and surveillance officers in England.

This is a change in presentation compared with previous TB annual reports produced by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and Public Health England (PHE), which reported detailed surveillance data for the whole of the UK.

This change is consistent with the newly launched Collaborative TB Strategy for England 2015 to 2020, and the fact that TB control activities, along with other health services, are devolved to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
