April 25, 2018, 11:29 p.m.

At its 41st meeting, the UNAIDS Program Coordinating Board (PCB) agreed that the theme for its 42nd meeting will be: “Ending tuberculosis and AIDS – a joint response in the era of the Sustainable Development Goals”

The thematic day will take place on 28 June 2018.

The thematic segment will review the role of the HIV community in reducing the disproportionate burden of TB among people living with HIV, and will explore the role of TB and HIV program collaboration in addressing the common socioeconomic, gender, stigma and human rights issues that drive the epidemics of HIV and TB, and how programs can work together to identify and reach vulnerable populations with the multisectoral services they need to achieve the broader Sustainable Development Goals.

UNAIDS is seeking examples of good practices of joint responses in HIV and TB to inform the thematic segment background note and the discussions during the segment.

The submissions must be made using an online submission form by COB Monday 7 May 2018.
