June edition of The Union's newsletter
The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) released its June newsletter, presenting the initiatives and activities carried out during the month.
At a summit held on 29 June 2018 in New York, The Union’s Executive Director José Luis Castro called for a human rights-led response to TB. “We must establish human rights as the guiding framework for the TB response in this country [USA], and in all countries. That is the only way we can effectively champion the cause of TB elimination in solidarity with people and communities affected by TB. Champions for TB must be champions for human rights.”
