Kaiser Family Foundation: White House releases FY 2019 budget request

This budget summary highlights global health-related funding proposals contained in President Trump’s FY 2019 budget request released on Monday. The request includes significant cuts to global health, including a decline in funding provided to the State Department and USAID. Funding provided to the State Department and USAID (through the Global Health Programs account) would decline by more than $2 billion (-23 percent), from $8,725 million in FY 2017 to $6,703 million, which would be the lowest level of funding since FY 2007.
