UNDP issues new material to support latest funding model of Global Fund grants
Geneva, Switzerland - A Checklist for Integrating Gender into the New Funding Model of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria has been developed to support the integration of gender-responsive components into the implementation of HIV programmes supported by the Global Fund in the context of the new funding model roll-out. Each stage of the NFM requires specific actions to address the gender dimensions of HIV in the development and implementation of grants.
The Checklist sets out specific steps and examples to support these gender integration efforts throughout Global Fund programming. While this Checklist focuses on HIV, most elements are also relevant for TB and malaria.
UNDP has also developed a Capacity Development Toolkit (CD Toolkit) for Global Fund grant implementation. The toolkit provides a practical guidance on how to strengthen institutional capacities for implementing national disease responses for HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria. It contains three inter-linked sections, with each section containing guidance, tools and templates to support capacity development for better health outcomes.
